Police say an SUV driving north on Highway 6 crossed over a grassy median into southbound lanes. Reportedly, the wrong-way driver then hit an oncoming vehicle.

On April 15, 2012, Fort Bend authorities say a three-car accident in Fort Bend County sent two children to the hospital Sunday night. Reportedly, the accident happened on Crabb River Road and Highway 59. Investigators say two children were ejected from a car.
Houston Woman Killed After Exiting Car On The Road Way
On April 15, 2012, Houston authorities say a woman was struck by a car and killed after exiting her vehicle on the roadway early Sunday morning. Reportedly, deputies arrived at W. Mount Houston near Cora and found a woman’s body on the road. Authorities say the woman was walking in the far right lane of the road when a white pick-up truck traveling in that lane hit her and kept driving.
Two Port Arthur Residents Killed In Weekend Crash
On April 8, 2011, Louisiana State Police say two Port Arthur residents were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near U.S. Highway 165 in Jefferson Davis Parish. Troopers say an SUV driven by 22-year-old Port Arthur resident was traveling west on I-10 Sunday when one of the rear tires failed, causing Williams to lose control of the vehicle. Sources say the vehicle then entered the median and rolled over, ejecting 3 occupants. Investigators say a 65-year-old and a 22-year-old, both of Port Arthur, died as a result of their injuries. An 11-month-old child who was also ejected was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Wrong-Way Driver Kills Two In Stafford
On February 26, 2012, Stafford authorities say two people died after their car ran head-first into a Jeep traveling the wrong way on the freeway. Reportedly, the accident happened early Sunday morning in the Stafford area. Officials say the two people in the car were pronounced dead on arrival after the collision. Officials say alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
Slick Roads Cause 7 Car Pileup In West Houston
On February 28, 2012, Houston authorities say slick roads and thick fog were believed to be the cause of a seven-car pileup in west Houston. According to investigators, a woman was driving to work in the southbound lanes of the 4400 block of North Eldridge Parkway near Patterson when she lost control of her vehicle. Sources say her car then swerved into the northbound lanes, hit a vehicle and swerved back into the southbound lanes, where she was struck by a vehicle driven by her husband, who was following her. According to reports, the woman’s husband said he was on the phone with his wife, trying to help her avoid an earlier accident. However, when she took a curve too tightly, he said she slammed into a red Toyota SUV. Houston authorities say that a total of seven cars wrecked in the chain reaction.
1 Year-Old Dies in Teen Single Car Collision in Port Arthur
On February 24, 2012, Port Arthur authorities say a 1 year-old child was killed in a single car collision on Spur 93 in Port Arthur, Texas. According to the highway patrol, an 18-year-old driver was traveling North bound on Spur 93 and West Port Arthur Road when she traveled across the
lanes and struck a concrete barrier. Sources say there were two other 17 and 18 year old passengers in the car that received injuries. Reportedly, the child was not sitting in a child safety seat, but it’s unknown at this time if she was wearing a seat belt.
Passengers Trapped After Head-On Collision in Northwest Harris County
On February 28, 2012, Harris County authorities say three people who were trapped in vehicles following a head on collision in northwest Harris County had to be saved by emergency personal. Reportedly, a Toyota was traveling eastbound on West Little York when the driver attempted to turn left on Mickendree Park, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. Sources say the Toyota then collided with a pickup truck traveling the opposite direction. Authorities say two people were trapped in the Toyota and one person was trapped in the truck.
Motorcyclist Killed After Head-On Collision In Harris County
On February 23, 2011, Harris County authorities say a motorcyclist has died in a wreck after a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into him in east Harris County. Sources say the crash took place on the 3900 block of FM 1942. Harris County authorities say the motorcyclist was driving a 2003 black Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on FM 1942 when Honeycutt who was driving a 1993 green Chevrolet pickup westbound on the road crossed the center stripe and hit the motorcycle. Reportedly, the truck also slammed into a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis that was traveling eastbound on FM 1942 behind the motorcycle
Burnet Teens Involved in Fatal Accident With School Bus
On February 23, 2011, Burnett investigators say that two teenage siblings have died after their car hit a stopped school bus operated by their Central Texas district. Reportedly, the collision happened at an intersection near Burnet, which is about 50 miles north of Austin. Sources say the car struck the rear of a Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Bus.
