On September 12, 2011, sources say a 16 year-old high student was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a car in Lumberton, Texas. Reportedly, the teenager was riding west on Williams Road when he was struck by a car which was traveling in the eastbound lane. Witness say the impact of the collision knocked the teenager from his bicycle and into a ditch. Although the teenager was injured, authorities say he was alter and conscious after the accident.
Bicyclist Killed After Crash In Southwest Houston
On March 14, 2011, Houston police say a bicyclist survived a crash with a pickup truck and was then killed a few moments later by an SUV. Reportedly, the man was trying to cross the Gulf Freeway near Woodridge when he crashed his bicycle into the side of a pickup truck.
Houston police say he was slightly injured and was beginning to stand when a Ford Explorer ran him over. Reportedly, the SUV driver fled the scene. Houston Police say they found the SUV parked at a nearby business but the driver is still on the loose.
